Experienced, expert, and highly qualified technical training

The owner of the atelier Andrea De Biasi is an authorized Steinway & Sons Academy technician and has extensive training and work experience. Accomplishments are listed below:

• 1989 - Masters degree in wood art, with 60/60 mark
• 1989/1991 - Work experience in the atelier of dedicated to the art and construction of ancient musical instruments, virgin cymbals, spinettes and clavichords
• 1992 - Piano Diploma at the Conservatory of Music in Trento
• 1993 - Technical Tuner Diploma at the European Community of Experimental Opera Theater in Spoleto
• 1995 - Became professional with the opening of his own laboratory specialising in the restoration of concert musical instruments
• 1997 - Registration to AIARP (Italian Association of Piano Repairers & Tuners)
• 1998 - Completed technical course on musical instruments at the Seiller company in Germany
• 2004 - Technical assistant on the CD recording for the duo Gianluca Casciolli and Andrea Griminelli
• 2004/2016 - Collaboration on restoration at the Steinway Passadori dealer in Brescia
• 2005 - Complex restoration of the historical Pleyel piano for concert use at the Galilean Academy of the University of Padua
• 2006 - Technical assistant for the recording of the Multigram DVD for the masters Francois-Joèl Tiollier and Roberto Proseda
• 2006 - Restoration of an Erard Gran Coda n. 63916 of 1890, at the Corte Castelletto hall of Nogarole Rocca in Verona, for the concert of pianist Federico Gianello, during the conference of Dr. Giovanni Doria
• 2006 - Restoration of the Grand Coda Steinway in the auditorium of the Conservatory of Cagliari
• 2007 - Restoration of the Grand Coda Steinway for the San Barnaba Auditorium of the Conservatory of Brescia
• 2007 - Restoration of the Grand Coda Steinway for Steinway Italia for 2008 concert season in the Trento Philharmonic Hall, owned by the Trento Philharmonic Society, inaugurated by Ivo Pogorelich
• 2008 - Technical assistant for the engraving of the CD of the Puiu sisters at the Maffeiana hall in Verona
• 2008 - Restoration, in collaboration with Lorenzo Cerneaz, of the Grand Coda Steinway of the Gioventù Musicale of Trieste at the Teatro Miela
• 2008/2009 - Technical training at Steinway & Sons in Hamburg completing a Diploma in Specialisation Master in Steinway Academy
• 2009 - Restoration of the second Grand Coda Steinway of the Trento Philharmonic Hall owned by the Trento Philharmonic Society
• 2010 - Technical assistant for engraving the Alessandra Amara CD for the Arts label
• 2011 - Registration of the Vintage Piano brand, the only Italian company that replaces harmonic boards and wind-chests according to Steinway methodology
• 2013 - Restoration commissioned by Steinway Italia of three Steinways for the Perugia Conservatory
• 2014 - Collaboration with the company Passadori di Brescia for the restoration of the Grand Coda Steinway in the Auditorium of the Verona 
• 2015 - Restoration for Steinway Italy Strinasacchi of the Grand Prix of the Auditorium of the Conservatory of Trieste
• 2016 - Restoration of the 1921 Steinway grand tail of the Bolzano Conservatory of Music
• 2016 - Restoration of the Steinway grand tail of the Verona Philharmonic Academy
• 2017 - Restoration of the Steinway grand tail n. 489620 for the Conservatory of Music of Bolzano
• 2017 - Restoration of the Steinway model C 227 n.436523 for the Conservatory of Music in Bolzano
• 2017 - Restoration of the Steinway grand tail n. 484240 for the resident Rovereto Philharmonic Association at the Zandonai Theater
• 2018 - Restoration of the Steinway grand tail n. 417400 for the Conservatory of Music of Bolzano
• As an authorized technician at the Steinway Society Piano Academy, he worked  in the repair of musical instruments for Steinway & Sons in Italy until 2016.
• Team restoration of three historical musical instruments of Steinway & Sons for the Palazzo Sassatelli d'Imola Piano Museum (5308 model B straight ropes, year 1861, 37644 model B crossed ropes, year 1877, 38596 model D grand tail, year 1877 ) and collaboration, from 2004 to 2016, with the Steinway Passadori of Brescia for the restoration of pianos.
• Ordinary maintenance of musical instruments for the Civic R. Zandonai of Rovereto in 2014.
• Technical assistant on musical instruments for the seasons of the Italian Virtuoso Concerts, of the Verona Philharmonic Academy (www.accademiafilarmonica.org) of the Trento Philharmonic Society (www.filarmonica-trento.it) and of the Bibiena Theater of Mantua.
• Collaboration with internationally renowned pianists and companies in the repair of musical instruments and recordings. Among the artists to appear were: Murray Perahia, Francois-Joèl Tiollier, Louis Lortie, Roberto Cominati, Stanislav Bunin, Alexandrer Lonquich, Till Fellner, Bruno Canino, Gianluca Casciolli, Leif Ove Andsnes, Giovanni Bellucci, Paolo Restani, Michele Campanella, Rudolf Buchbinder, Elisabeth Leonskaja, and Ivo Pogorelich.
